| 1. Do I need to apply for a German Visa? |
Holders of HKSAR or BNO Passport can enter Germany without applying for Visa. The maximum period of stay allowed is 90 days within six months provided no employment is taken.
For eligible applicants with PRC (People Republic of China) and other passports which require Visa, we can help to process an invitation letter to facilitate their application. |

| 2. What documents should I submit for an invitation letter? |
Invitation letter request form (please see sample here)
Passport copy of the applicant (valid for more than 6 months from the date of entry)
Admission ticket
Flight / Hotel confirmation
Declaration letter issued by the exhibiting company (please see sample here)
(This is a letter certifying that the visa applicant is an employee of the company and will travel to Germany during the show period.)

| 3. How long does it take to process an invitation letter? |
Upon receipt of all required documents, an invitation letter can be processed in about 21 days. Applicants are advised to send us their request at least 2 to 3 months prior to the exhibition to ensure sufficient time for their visa application.

| 4. How much does an invitation letter cost? |
It is completely free of charge. However, the service is only provided to Hong Kong companies, and visitors must be able to submit the required supporting documents. |

| 5. Where can I apply for a visa? |
Applicants can apply visa at German Consulate General in Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou & Shanghai.

| 6. Can I stay behind for traveling after a trade fair? |
A visa issued by any Schengen member country allows free travel across the borders between and/or among Schengen countries unless otherwise stated in the visa. Schengen countries include Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
According to the general practice of the German Embassy and Consulate, Chinese exhibitors/ visitors are usually granted 15 days for period of stay. They can travel whenever the visa is valid. However, further document is required to proof the purpose and activities of the stay, e.g. factory visit, or visiting customers, if an applicant needs to apply for an extension.
