Holders of HKSAR Passport or BNO Passport do not require German Visa.  The maximum period of stay allowed is 90 days within six months provided no employment is taken. 

For eligible applicants with PRC (People Republic of China) and other passports which require Visa, we can help to process an invitation letter to facilitate their application. Please apply for an invitation letter from us 3 or 4 months prior to the exhibition. 

The following documents are required:  

Invitation letter request form (please see sample form here)
Passport copy of the applicant(s) (valid for more than 6 months from the date of entry) 
Booth application form
Official admission document
Official participation invoice and payment record/official receipt
Declaration letter issued by the exhibiting company (please see sample here) 
(This is a letter certifying that the visa applicant is an employee of the company and will travel to Germany during the show period.)

It is completely free of charge for registered exhibitors.

Upon receipt of all required documents, an invitation letter can be processed in about 21 days. Applicants are advised to send us their request at least 2 to 3 months prior to the exhibition to ensure sufficient time for their visa application.

With the invitation letter, applicants please go to German Consulate or German Visa Centre to make appointment of interview or submit application.

A visa issued by any Schengen member country allows free travel across the borders between and/or among Schengen countries unless otherwise stated in the visa. Schengen countries include Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

According to the general practice of the German Embassy and Consulate, Chinese exhibitors/ visitors are usually granted 15 days for period of stay.  They can travel whenever the visa is valid. However, further document is required to proof the purpose and activities of the stay, e.g. factory visit, or visiting customers, if an applicant needs to apply for an extension.
